CVS price match. Is it true they have to call the pharmacy they are matching for every refill?

They claim they have to call the pharmacy that they are matching for every refill. They claim the prices change.. I have been on the same med for 3 years, the price has never changed. Costco has their prices online but they insist on calling them.. This seems like BS since I tried to get a refill on Sunday when everyone else was closed...... So is this the catch.... what BS

yes they do, it's the law!!
Reply:Price matching is dangerous and against most health insurance contracts. The contracts generally require that for a given day, the cash price must be the same for everyone.
