Those heating units are rarely used....and expensive.
They make your lenses turn yellow and really reduce the life of your lenses.
Why don't you just use a multi purpose solution ?
A slight correction to what Mel said...saline is meant to rinse or wet...not for storage of your lenses.
My CVS bran saline contact solution says I need a heating unit, What is this and where can i buy one?
This is antiquated solution. We don't recommend heating units anymore. Assuming you wear soft lenses, you need a multi-purpose disinfecting and storage solution such as Optifree, Renu, Complete, etc. The box should say it's mult-purpose. Ask your doctor...he/she should have recommended a care system for you. Not all solutions on the market are compatible with all lenses and it's not good to switch around.

You will find what you like!
Good luck!
Reply:this is the 1980's way to clean hard lense contacts. you don't need one, just remember that a generic saline solution is intended to wet and store contacts only- not clean them long term.
