I would only trust the Doctors Office machine.
Are the CVS Pharmacy Blood Pressure machines accurate?
Mine was accurate. I went to the Dr. %26amp; they took it, then i waited for my prescription at cvs %26amp; took it there %26amp; it was the same. I don't think they would let people use it if it wasn't, with all the medical lawsuits.
Reply:I'm not sure about CVS, But at Kroger, our machine is calibrated monthly. Ask the pharmacy how often theirs is serviced, and try to use it sooner than later. There are very reasonably priced automatic blood pressure machines that you can buy at the pharmacy. Maybe 35 to 40 dollars.
Reply:It depends on several factors. The cuffs at CVS and other pharmacies are to be used on arms that are a certain size. Smaller/larger arm size could result in over/under inflated readings. Wearing a thick shirt can also affect the readings.
Reply:Probably not. It depends on the maintenance of the machine. It should require calibration and there probably is no way to tell if this is done on a regular schedule.

Can I find a spray similar to( Evian or Mac Fix+) at Walgreens or CVS?
Evian is sold at walgreens and CVS. Also you can just get some rosewater in a spray bottle which is sold at both as well.

New medication at cvs pharmacy?
I just saw a commercial for a product at cvs pharmacy to relieve ringing in the ears. I have not seen it since and want the name, if anyone knows it. When I asked at the pharmacy, they never heard of it. any help?
New medication at cvs pharmacy?
I have never seen the commercial but have you ever tryed an ear candle? Maybe that is what they are advertising they have now. An ear candle comfortable removes wax from the ear canal. That could help with ear ringing. They helped my mom with the problem. Most small drug stores have them as well as places that have alternative and holistic products.

Can I develop 120 film at CVS or Walgreens?
Yes, but they wouldn't offer same day or one hour processing. It will come back in two or three days.
Can I develop 120 film at CVS or Walgreens?
Yes, but it isn't done on premises, they send it out to a lab to be processed, so you can't get 1 hour service.
Reply:No, they are not set up for it. Go to a local camera shop.
Reply:My local does, they just send it away and you get it back in about 2 days, but it is more expensive.
Reply:They send it out to a lab- btw do not trust them with pro film-the results are horrendous. Keep the middle man out(cvs, walgreen) and take it to a local photo lab yourself.
Reply:of course not! they only do 35mm

What's the best mascara for Asian eyes (that also can be gotten at the local CVS)?
I did look at others' questions, but I want more opinions. My eyes are small, and I want to open them up with mascara (yet keep the look natural).
What's the best mascara for Asian eyes (that also can be gotten at the local CVS)?
I'm Asian, Chinese Asian to be exact. I have short eyelashes, and hardly ever use make up, let alone mascara. However, you could find mascara that 'lengthens' eyelashes (in reality they just make the eyelashes look longer). I've used Collection 2000; its not bad, because it doesn't dry up inside the container easily, but that being said, it takes a while for the mascara to dry. I avoid mascara in general because it makes the eyes look even smaller than it already appears to be. Try white or metallic coloured eyeliners on the inner corners of eyes instead, it will 'open up' your eyes. Hope that helps!
Reply:maybelline with the brush
Reply:Ohhhh,,,,,,
Are you sure you want to do that?
I am Asian too and I don't use make up at all.
Just a little eye shadow and lipstick for special occasions.
Asians typically don't need mascara at all.
But I guess it doesn't hurt to try it.
CoverGirl is pretty good but I like Lancome.

Reply:u need to use black/browm mascara instead of black... black will make ur eyes smaller lookin and because ur asisan u dont need that,, another tip is that u should invest ina white liner and pencil the corners of ur eyes in that to make them look open and wide
Reply:I'm a chinese as well so I struggle with the same dilemma as you - single eyelids, small eyes...sparse and short eyelashes.
I use Avon Astonishing Lengths mascara, plus Maybelline Sky High Curves, plus Lancome Primer (I forgot what it's called but it's white) , plus Lancome Amplicils in waterproof black.
Sounds like a lot? This is what the Japanese girls do as well to make their eyes pop. Mix different mascaras to mix and add up their "strengths".
Apply in a zig zagged manner and get one of those heated curlers (battery operated). They'll curl your eyelashes in a no-fuss no-muss manner after you have applied mascara.
A black eye liner as close to the eyelash as possible also helps.
Good luck! :)
Reply:The natural look is a great look!
Prepare for a long answer. All of mine are, lol
This is from one of my old issues of Cosmogirl magazine. It had an article about African American, asian, indian, and hispanic skin tones. I saved the African American one, and guess what? The asian one was on the back!
1)an eyeshadow primer will help shadow cling to your lids, adding depth to creaseless lids. Spread a skin-colored base from lash line to brow bone(I bet Wet N wild has some cheap ones, but I think any cream eyeshadow should do). Feel your lid for the top of your eyeball, then run a medium-shade shadow from lash line to that spot, tracing the curve of your eye.
2)Eyeliner can seem to disappear if you have no eyelid crease. Using a super-skinny liner, make short, vertical dashes btwn each of your top lashes so that your lash lines look dark and full. Try using Covergirl or maybelline
3)Curl and lift and lift straight lashes with a curler. Then immediately coat with a waterproof mascara(try using Loreal Volume Shocking 2 step mascara $13)
I typed this quickly and probably made some mistakes. Email me if you have questions.

Whats a shampoo i could get from cvs that doesnt have Sodium Laureth Sulfate?

Whats a shampoo i could get from cvs that doesnt have Sodium Laureth Sulfate?
Off hand I don't know of any. Even Johnson's Baby Shampoo contains that ingredient.
You don't mention why you're trying to avoid that ingredient, but if you've received an email warning that this is a cancer-causing ingredient, that is an urban legend. (See www.snopes.com, link below) Sodium Laureth Sulfate IS an irritant if you get it into your eyes, and there are warnings not to swallow it on packages of toothpaste.
Is this because it can cause cancer? No - it can cause diarrhea if you ingest too much. However, just for the record this is also an ingredient found in some candy, so it isn't poisonous to ingest it. Just disagreeable if you consume too much.
Here's a link if you want to find out more. I realize you may be sensitive to this ingredient, and I'm not trying to minimize that. I just didn't want you to be the victim of an urban legend, if indeed that is the reason for avoiding this ingredient.
Best wishes to you!

Reply:um most shampoos have sodium laureth sulfate or sodium lauryl sulfate which is worse or amonium lauryl/laureth sulfate. however you can get good shampoo w/out these chemicals from a health foods store like Whole Foods. Another alternative is to use the No-Poo conditioner washing method featured in some hair care books. As it turns out conditioner cleans the hair well too and most conditioner does not contain sodium laureth sulfate. Just wash with instant conditioner andit should clean the hair enough.

What is a better pharmacy store walgreens cvs or rite aid?
Honestly, they are all the same to me....but I would have to say Walgreens, only 'cause they are opened 24 hrs.
What is a better pharmacy store walgreens cvs or rite aid?
Walgreen's. Just personal pref. The wait times for Rx-s are
always shorter. They have more in the way of soaps and
shampoos,etc,too.
The last time I was in CVS I asked a woman in a CVS shirt
where the toothpaste was (they were remodeling) and she
got snotty with me. She was just a temp and how should SHE
know,etc. geeeez. She could have said "I don't know,but I
will help you find it/find someone who does." I shouldn't
judge the whole chain on that,but...it just seemed to sum the
place up.
Reply:it's like asking which pile of vomit to lick
I've not worked at , nor do I know anybody that works for CVS. If I had to choose, I would probably pick Walgreen's though.

My CVS bran saline contact solution says I need a heating unit, What is this and where can i buy one?
Those heating units are rarely used....and expensive.
They make your lenses turn yellow and really reduce the life of your lenses.
Why don't you just use a multi purpose solution ?
A slight correction to what Mel said...saline is meant to rinse or wet...not for storage of your lenses.
My CVS bran saline contact solution says I need a heating unit, What is this and where can i buy one?
This is antiquated solution. We don't recommend heating units anymore. Assuming you wear soft lenses, you need a multi-purpose disinfecting and storage solution such as Optifree, Renu, Complete, etc. The box should say it's mult-purpose. Ask your doctor...he/she should have recommended a care system for you. Not all solutions on the market are compatible with all lenses and it's not good to switch around.

Can you get Plab B at CVS and how much does it usually go for?
Plan B can be bought direct from a pharmacy in many states, it depends where you are? It usually goes for about $35. On the otherhand, raising a kid from 0 to 18 will cost about $250,000-$400,000. However, it needs to be taken in the first 72 hrs for best results. Follow up with your doctor and discuss birth control options.

What will happen with Walgreens, CVS, and Rit-Aid stock if Barack Obama is elected president?
I don't get the connection and I'm an RN and a CFP.
Reply:Wow, That's a pretty big what if. What do you think could happen? Are you refering to some type of governemt health insurance? or are thinking of shorting that stock from those companies?
In either case and this is strictly my opinion, any changes in the delivery of services and patient payment of our health system is several Presidents away and congress will not act by itself because of all the special interests.
Prescriptions are a part of those companies business but they also have many other profit centers in their stores. They can be like a mini Walmart so their business would gradually change and not immediately even if it came to pass in 20-30 years.
If you are thinking about stock cos. and what can influence their prices; find out what Obama like to wear, eat, see, enjoy and if he becomes more that a contender these things might enjoy a purchasing frenzy. Good luck and aDios.

What or where is CVS ? I figure it is a place to shop -- is it?
CVS is a drugstore chain, similar to Walgreens, Rite-Aid, or Sav-On in other areas of the country.
CVS recently purchased the Eckerd chain in the southeast and has become a much larger chain as a result.

Can You buy a tmobile prepaid sim card at cvs?
I don't have any CVS stores in my area, but knowing it's a pharmacy type store, they don't sell just sim cards.
Most pharmacies however, do sell those prepaid phone cards to go along with prepaid phones. They also most likely sell a prepaid phone with an INCLUDED prepaid sim (like a T-mobile prepaid kit). I guess you can get a prepaid sim that way.
If you're looking for just a sim card, lots of people sell them cheap on ebay. They're probably previously activated with a phone number with a different area code, but you can alway reactivate and change that.

Can a person with a Pharm D work somewhere besides a place like CVS?
lol, you could become a lab technician, cuz that's what most pharmacy grads consider if they don't want to be stuck at CVS.
As a lab technician, you actually get to do research and you get more hands on experience. You could also earn a higher income if you're working for a good company. Check the classifieds or company websites.
Can a person with a Pharm D work somewhere besides a place like CVS?
Yes, pharmacists work all over health care. Popular fields after retail pharmacy are hospital/clinical pharmacy, industry, and managed care.
The Pfizer Guide lists most major areas of pharmacy work: http://www.pfizercareerguides.com/defaul...
Reply:Sure, there's a ton of dairy pharms they could work at, in Minnesota alone.
Reply:Besides retail pharmacy such as CVS, a person with Pharm D can also work in hospital, military, or they can research for pharmaceutical manufacturers, developing new drugs and therapies and testing their effects on people or work in marketing or sales, providing expertise to clients on a drug's use and possible side effects. They can also work for health insurance companies, developing pharmacy benefit packages and carrying out cost-benefit analyses on certain drugs. Other pharmacists work for the government and pharmacy associations. Some pharmacists are employed full time or part time as college faculty, teaching classes and performing research in a wide range of areas.
Reply:Someone with a Pharm D is unlikely to work in a drug store. He would be overqualified. Someone with a BS in Pharm would take those jobs.
It is more likely he would be a college professor, work for a Pharmaseutical firm doing research, or work in management for a large pharmacy.
Reply:I know VA hospitals hire Pharm D as full time staff.
Reply:Of course!
Pharmacies in drug stores (like Walgreens, CVS, and Eckerd's)are the obvious choice, but plenty of other places today are utilizing Pharmacists.
Some of the bigger discount stores, like Wal-Mart, Target, and Sam's Club are also filling orders for prescriptions.
Another place to check is in hospitals. Most of the larger ones in particular have a pharmacy there and that would be a good place to look.
I am not sure, but you might can check with some other places, like nursing homes, psychiatric care facilities, and other residential places that might have some position available for you.
Good luck!

Good luck!

dye?
Good brand of hair dye found @ CVS/walgreens that will almost completlety or completley cover up a previous?
Color cannot lift color so your only option is to go darker unless you are willing to bleach and re-color your hair (in this case I suggest a salon - I mean I REALLY REALLY suggest a salon!)
What are the tones of your hair (is it golden, red, cool, warm?)
What color is it? Med brown, Dark blond?
*If you know the exact color you previously used that will help a lot more
And what color do you want? If its too red - do you want the red gone? Or you want the gold gone?
The best brand I can recommend is Loreal because Loreal actually owns about 80% of ALL color (including profesesional).
If you can answer the questions above I can formulate the correct color combination with the correct undertones to help you!

Cvs warehouse is doing a background check on me a have a couple bad checks do you think they will still hire?
Normally the questionnaire asks if you have ever been convicted of a crime, if you answer that truthfully then there should be no problem with you passing the background check.
Good luck on your new job
Cvs warehouse is doing a background check on me a have a couple bad checks do you think they will still hire?
It might depends on whether or not you will handling money. If you are opening boxes, stocking,etc..they might allow it to slide..
Reply:just hope that they give you a chance to explain.
Reply:Depends on the specifics.
Was it a bad check as in no money to cover? If so it is usually handled with a return check fee and you are done.
If it was a bad check as in closed account etc.. then the retailer (or whoever it was written to) reports it to a bureau which monitors checks (cant think of the name will add it if I remember). This is the first source retailers inquire with during background checks. If you have a file here you will not work in any cash-handling industry.
AHHH, I remebered. it is called ChexSystems.

Reply:Did you end up getting the job? I was hired at CVS warehouse too, I start soon.
Reply:If by a couple of bad checks you mean you had a couple of checks that bounced I'm sure they will still hire you. They do a background check to see if you have a criminal background. People who have checks that bounce are not criminals. They just don't know how to balance a check book.

How much do you make when your a worker in riteaid, cvs, etc a week?
also how much does a manager make in these stores
How much do you make when your a worker in riteaid, cvs, etc a week?
It depends on where you live and how many hours they give you. You'd be lucky to make $10 an hour, and maybe $500 per week as a manager for salary with lots of hours and no over time.

My CVS Pregnancy Test showed a light POSITIVE.Am i pregnant?
we have had a hard time having a baby. and false positive before because of soap in the cup i used but thiss time didnt use a cup and it showed two light lines am I also had a funny period.
My CVS Pregnancy Test showed a light POSITIVE.Am i pregnant?
yes you are. if a light line didn't convince you then you may want to buy a digital test. it will just say pregnant or not pregnant.
Reply:More than likely you are pregnant, since you didn't use a cup to muddy the reading, and the test looks for a protein that's in your urine during pregnancy that shows up positive when that protein is present. If you're not completely sure, then your doctor can do a pregnancy test. I went through two home tests, both with inconclusive readings (very frustrating) before I went to the doctor and found out I was pregnant. Best of luck to you, for pregnancy and for motherhood :)
Reply:I had A LOT of trouble with CVS' test (at least the one that has blue dye). But if the test is a light positive, it is still positive. If you still are not sure, you should purchase a different test (a pink dye one or a digi one -- you can buy a pink dye test at the dollar tree which is just as accurate) and test again.
Reply:With both of my pregnancies I took early tests and could see a very light positive. I waited another 2 weeks and took another test and the positive came up fast and really dark. If you're late on your period or spotting lightly then more than likely you are just barely pregnant. I know it's hard, but don't drive hyourself nuts taking a million test. At least wait another week and then take another one OR get one of the digital test that actually say PREGNANT or NOT PREGNANT....That's what I used with my second pregnancy....It was awesome to see the PREGNANT come up. Good Luck to you!!
Reply:Every once in a blue moon there are false positives (as you well know but, these are rare). All signs point to yes! Congrats! :)
P.S. If you want to be sure sure you can wait a couple weeks and retest (the level of hCG doubles in your blood daily when you are pregnant) or schedule your OB appt. to get confirmation through one of a number of tests in their office. Best of luck!
Reply:Don't matter if it's light or dark, you're pregnant! Congratz to you!
Take another test in the morning when you first go potty, should be darker, then call ur doctor and set up an appointment for verification!
Reply:Yes you are pregnant based on the lines i had a test that showed one really lite and the other dark and then i took another test and they were both lite, and then it turned out i was pregnant.

What is the best facial cleanser that you can buy @ CVS, Walgreens or Rite Aide?
I LOVE the Neutregena facial pads. They are soooooo easy! All you have to do is wet the "pre-soaped" cloth in the pkg. and rub it together. Then wash your face. Neutregena works really good on problem skin. I love it.
What is the best facial cleanser that you can buy @ CVS, Walgreens or Rite Aide?
depends on your skin...I found the best face wash to be aveeno...it works really well and doesnt leave your face so dry!!
Reply:I stick with good ol Netrogena...or Aveeno cleansing cloths...those are nice..one side is smooth for you eyes and the other is a little rough to exfoliate.
Reply:One of the best lotions I have used is the Noxzema Triple Clean Blackhead Cleanser. It is pretty new.
Reply:I agree with Neutrogena products.
The other cleanser that is good (and Dr. approved) is Purpose. It comes in a blue box. I don't like bars, I prefer the liquid pumps, that way nothing is getting in your cleanser.
Reply:Olay Daily Facials Express Wet Cleansing Cloths, Sensitive Skin, Fragrance Free
Reply:clean and clear has really great products that actually work if you do use them daily
Reply:Cetaphil. It´s not that expensive and it doesn´t contain soap which dry your skin. It´s also hypoallergenic and also comes in an antibacterial way. (I know it sounds like advertising but it´s not), really works for me.
Reply:Clean %26amp; Clear products. Try the purple %26amp; green bottle one. It leaves your face feeling fresh. But they all work great. Dont try the Neutrogena oil cleanser in the clear bottle with orange liquid because it dried my skin so bad.
Reply:I swear by Neutrogena products. They don't leave any residue on your face, hair, etc.
Reply:CVS and Neutragena.

CVS pharmacy filled me glaucoma drops instead of anti-biotics for my post-LASIK healing. Can I sue?
I guess the biggest question I have is if I still have time to. This occured in mid-July. The doctors at the center where I got the surgery called in the prescription. I got it filled the day before the surgery. After the surgery I was to take the drops to fight off infection. I got an infection and spent about 2 months fighting it with more (what I thought to be anti-biotic)drops, which were the glaucoma drops and other types. Finally one day my doctor saw them while I was rumaging through my purse and asked what I was doing with them. Then shock occured on both our parts.
I went to CVS and the senior pharmacist was the one who filled it! It simply stated he made a mistake. He was sorry.
So, can I sue even with the time delay?
CVS pharmacy filled me glaucoma drops instead of anti-biotics for my post-LASIK healing. Can I sue?
You will need to be able to show damages.
Reply:I am not a lawyer, but I would certainly think so. You could have lost your vision. It sounds like you had a serious problem.
Reply:You claim that you got an infection from the drops, but that is not damage enough for a lawsuit. Were you hospitalized as a result of the infection due to the faulty drops? Did you miss time from work? Did you suffer other monetary damages?
An "infection" due to a pharmacists negligence is not the sort of thing a judge can quantify into damages.
Regarding the time delay, statute of limitations is generally 2 years, so I assume you're within the time limit, but your bigger problem is proving damages, which is required before any lawsuit.
Reply:the time delay shouldn't be too big of a problem.....assuming that you are still able to document the time you spent with an eye infection.......expenses.........any transitory or permanent damage.
Most of the complaints I read on here are just people whining. Your situation is not that. You should consult with an attorney. Sorry this happened to you.
Reply:Yep Depending on the state you have one to two years to sue. I'd sue.
Reply:I'd contact a personal injury lawyer, just to be sure. You'll have to find evidence that the Dr's office called in the correct prescription and that the senior pharmacist made a mistake. Also, make sure CVS doesn't have some sort of fine print stating that it's the customer's responsibility to check the labels, etc., etc. They probably have made mistakes like this in the past and wrote up a tiny warning label (not that it would have helped you post-lasik) about having no responsibility in such a case. Gather your evidence before you bother w/ a lawyer who will charge you to do the same.
The general statute of limitations on any crime is 7 years, so you've still got time as far as I know.
Reply:Yes, Anyone can sue for anything the question is what are you going to get out of it.
Your costs should be reimbursed, the drug cost, additional Dr visits and time off from work. The big payout would be IF you are PERMANENTLY damaged by the mistake.
The time limit to sue is normally 1 year but your jurisdiction maybe different. If you do not have permanent damage you might think about writing a letter to CVS asking for reimbursment along with the threat of both suing and going to the media with the facts. This may save you lawyer bills, you may also consider small claims court if your area has it.
Reply:I woud speak to an attorney about this.
Reply:In answer to your question, yes, you probably can, but you would most likely not even get to trial - a judge would find that you have no case unless you suffered some sort of damages as a result. You could try to make the claim that you wouldn't have gotten an infection, given the right medication, but again... is that $10 copay for the doctor's visits significant enough to have to pay an attorney and court fees in order to recover it from CVS?
No judge is going to order that they pay you millions of dollars because you "could have" had damage to your eyes. Courts don't operate on "could have."
Don't waste your time. Accept the pharmacist's apology, find a new pharmacy and move on with your life.
By the way - it would not be a medical malpractice trial, as stated above. Pharmacists do not practice medicine.
Reply:There would most likely be a 2-year statute of limitations. But I don't think your suit would be successful unless you could prove significant monetary loss as a result of the mistake.
Reply:That depends upon the state in which you live but usually you have 2 years to file a medical malpractice claim. Tort reform in many states have limited the times frames so you should check with a local attorney immediately. A consultation in a med mal case won't cost you anything. You should find someone experienced in handling medical malpractice and tort claims. Call 3 or 4 attorneys before making an appointment. Get advice from friends if you can as to who has a good reputation in your community.

Im looking for a job, wrote loads of letters & CVs, but still nothing!?
Only one place has gotten back to me over a period of 2 months, and that was a rejection without an interview. What do you suggest?
(Im 17 and only want a part time job. Xmas temp would do!) Im in UK.
Im looking for a job, wrote loads of letters %26amp; CVs, but still nothing!?
Congratulations on wanting to stick with what must be a depressing search. Getting a job takes some serious skills, very different from performing the actual job. You must use every advantage at your disposal in order to be successful.
First, as someone suggested, you should have an adult look your resume and cover letter for errors. You may not like to hear this, but even a single spelling error can knock you out of the running for a job. The appearance of your resume and cover letter is at least as important as what you can really do on the job. When you hold it at arm's length, does it look squared away and neat? Does it draw your eye to your best attributes? Resumes usually get an initial 15 second scan. If they pass muster, then they might get an extra 15 seconds. the person is looking for buzz words that can help them solve a need.
Second, the way most jobs are achieved is because someone gives you a personal recommendation. This may not seem fair, but personality is most often chosen over plain talent. When someone else recommends you, that is a big boost of confidence for someone hiring you. Tell people you know that you are looking and ask them if they know of anything.
Third, although I cringe at the use of the term, it is necessary to open your "network;" talk to everyone you know about your wanting a job and ask if they know who is hiring. Keep a log book of who you talk to and write down possible openings, such as if someone heard that so and so was hiring. Don't forget to thank someone sincerely for directing you, even if it turns out not to work out. That person might give you another better lead the next time. People you run into at lunch counters and other places of business are often great sources of information: they hear all sorts of things from their customers. Fourth, always carry your resume and show it to people, if appropriate. While it is doubtful that at the age of 17 you have very much on the resume, it does display that you have some professionalism. Always give the impression that you want to work rather than just get paid for something you have to do.
Lastly, dress and act appropriately if you do get an interview. I cannot tell you how many people lose a job simply because of the way they are dressed at an interview. Remember that a company is hiring your personality and your ability to fit into what they already have is important.
Reply:If you have unemployment services there that would probably be your best bet but Im not sure if you have them, other than that just dont get discouraged, keep looking in newspapers and let as many businesses know that your looking for a job as possible, the more people you let know the better chance you have of finding someone ready to hire.
Reply:Have someone look at your resume and cover letters to give you a second opinion... make sure they are free and clear of all errors and that they are well written. After that just keeping trying and don't give up. Outside of fast food, it's hard getting a job anyplace else at the age of 17.

Why don't the United States legalize cocaine and sell it across the counter at CVS, like they do Viagra?
Why don't the drug wars and put the drug dealers out of business? If they stop the killing, then they won't have nothing to fight over?
Why don't the United States legalize cocaine and sell it across the counter at CVS, like they do Viagra?
100 years ago cocaine was legal. It was not until the pure food and drug act of 1906 that made cocaine and many other drugs illegal. The pure food and drug act of 1906 was signed into law by then President Teddy Roosevelt who one morning was eating a plate of sausage while reading the controversial book by Upton Sinclair The Jungle (About the practices of the meat processing industry, which at the time had human fingers and dead mice as part of the meat products going into the market). However, the ban on cocaine in the pure food and drug act of 1906 was only amplified in 1970 by the signing of the controlled substance act. Viagra though was a different story, in 1989 Pfizer was testing a cancer drug that had a side effect of treating erectile dysfunction, and then 9 years later was remarketed as Viagra. And finally to answer the main point of your question, it is not the drug dealers fighting among each other that are the problem with the drugs. It's the crooked bankers who launder their drug money, and what you do is take George Carlin's advice and you take about 10 of these bankers every Monday Night and you nail them to crosses during the halftime show of Monday Night Football, and then you get Marlboro Cigarettes and Dow Chemicals to sponsor the whole thing, and then you talk about that drug trade really slowing down. So it's not really a matter of legalizing drugs, just more a matter of taking away the source of money laundering that these drug dealers use.

There is no antidote for cocaine overdose. They cut it with too much crap.
All research on coke has been stopped by the government.
Legalizing these street drugs would probably get this country out of debt though.
Reply:Viagra is not sold over the counter you need a prescription and it has a purpose. nobody has a real need for cocaine.Next time a cocaine junkie needs money to get cocaine I hope it's your house they rob. Apparently you haven't thought about the negative effect cocaine has on society.
Reply:Take a look at your idea. I mean REALLY take a look. If it wasn't cocaine, it would be something else.
As long as mankind's main focus is the filthy dollar, then greed goes with the package.
Sure, sell cocaine. Then what do the losers who work to bilk the weak and helpless get into? Peyote? Mescalin? LSD? Mushrooms? Drinking water?
Since they decriminalized marijuana in small amounts here in Canada, there have never been more 'pot farms' in existence. My God, they were even using the empty Molson beer factory to run the most massive dope operation in Canadian history!

Can I read and receive emails in CVS files with windows XP home. I do not have excel?
Do you mean CSV files? You can open them in notepad. Basically a CSV stands for comma separated values - simply a table of items separated by commas. If it is a small file, you might be able to get the information you need that way. Otherwise, you need a spreadsheet program to read them. If you don't have one installed, you can use one online. Here's one option - http://www.irows.com/xo/Welcome.do
Can I read and receive emails in CVS files with windows XP home. I do not have excel?
You can actually open a .cvs file with Microsoft Word. Save the file somewhere on your computer, open Microsoft Word, go to File and Open and change file types to All Files (*.*), find the file and it will open, be readable, and printable.

Does anyone work at CVS or Walgreens? Who pays more?
I want to apply at either Walgreens or CVS pharmacies but I don't know who pays more. They are both across from each other close to where I live. I'm wondering which one pays more and which one has the most benefits.
If you do not know, do not answer.

depends on the region, but they tend to pay about the same.

Loreal Sublime Glow is a great brand, it darkens
the skin in one day! I put some on the other day
and everyone asked me how I got so dark in a
day and where did I go on vacation! Lol I didn't
go anywhere of course it was the lotion. It smells
great and believe it or not it dries fast not compared
to the other lotions where you have to stand there for
hours. It actually dries fast! Its around $12.00 for the
face and $9.00 for the body. This brand is the best

Know of any tinted moisturizer with good coveragei can buy at rite aid or cvs or duane read?
my favorite is the healthy skin enhancer by neutrogena it worked really really well for me, and had pretty good coverage for a tinted moisturizer... id def reccomend it... but if u already have a foundation, u could just mix ur moisturizer with it until u get the perfect coverage for you.. thats what i do esp with summertime here in FL , i dont want super heavy coverage but sometimes tinted moisturizers r way 2 thin.. so i just mix it til its perfect for me, and that way if theres a spot that might need more coverage i can use my foundation reg and use it like a spot coverage and i know its the same color .. HTH@ def check out the neutrogena one, i think its $8
the skin in one day!
This brand is the best
by far! The best I've ever tried and I will not go with
anything else. Hope this helped !

How do I open port 2401 for CVS on a linux plesk VPS? I keep getting "connection refused" at the client.
I am using xinet.d, and have created a cvspserver configuration file. If I use telnet localhost 2401 I can connect locally to the CVS server. However, I can't seem to connect to the CVS server over the Internet. I have disabled the Plesk firewall, but am unable to disable the Virtuozzo firewall. In addition, putting the Virtuozzo firewall into advanced mode (which is needed to open port 2401) actually makes the situation worse because suddenly ports including 80 become closed to incoming connections. I tried using a "default accept" policy on the advanced Virtuozzo firewall with no success. In summary - the virtuozzo firewall in "simple" mode does not give the option to open port 2401, but the "advanced" mode seems to block all important ports, including 2401, even after much fiddling. Could you help?

Can the over the counter diet aid called alli be purchases at a cvs pharmacy?
Yes it is. But it would probably be a little cheaper at Walmart. LoL. I use it and I've lost 10 lbs. so far without exercise. I'm kinda at a stand still, but I bet if I started exercising a few times a week I'd loose more. Good luck!
Make sure you are ready to poop more than usual. LoL. And orange drops in your poop are the fat that is blocked from absorbing in your body.

Do you have any tips on how to stop spending so much at CVS, Rite Aid, or Savon?
I end up spending $30 almost twice a week at these stores.
Do you have any tips on how to stop spending so much at CVS, Rite Aid, or Savon?
Shop in bulk, to these stores and stock up on the for sale items, you will not see the savings for 2 weeks or more. But when it appear you will wonder how come. Just because something is on sale does not mean that you should buy it. And remember that a very good buy of something should be bought for supplying 3 to 6 months.
Often my wife gets a good buy, and buy enough for a month. The following month she says "I wish I had bought more when".
Reply:Depends on if you are buyng Rx drugs or front-end merchandise. Costco BJs Walmart are good options on non-presecription products. For Rx, buy them through Canada. If you really want lower prices ditch the rest of the republicans in conress. Report It
Reply:stop going and shop somewhere else that's cheaper like walmart
Reply:Stop going! Or try just getting the things you need when they are on sale.
Reply:Go to a discount supermarket like BJ's or Costco. You have to buy in bulk, but overall you end up saving so much more money on things like shampoo, soap, etc.

Where is the best place to print photos out of CVS, Walgreens, WalMart sort of places? Thanks in advance.?
I always use walmart. CVS is really bad. Their photos almost always have something wrong with them and look really cheap. Walmart prints on matte photo paper which makes them look more professional. They have only messed up once or twice with me and they always reprinted free of charge. I have never used Walgreens, so I can't tell you anything about them.

I have heard good things about Sam's club, if you need enlargements, like 10X13's, or more.
If your looking for 4x6's, 5x7's, they are all about the same, depending on how well the equipment is maintained.

Citibank did not clear my cvs paycheck?
I showed them a receipt from the ATM showing my deposit amount and it was not on my statement at the end of the month, they sat me for like half and hour and told me I could go while they "investigate" and they said this happens "rarely"
so pretty much i don't get my money right?
either wait or call cvs and go through alot of crap to get it resended which im not even sure is possible -_- what can i do, having resending the check as a final option.
Citibank did not clear my cvs paycheck?
This is exactly the reason I don;t deposit by ATYM ever. If I can't get a direct deposit, then I go to the bank and stand in line.
On the positive side, call CVS or go se them and ask them for a copy of the front and back of the hceck. It will show the deposit and what account it went to. Banks make mistakes all the time and it (unfortunately) is up to you to verify everything on your statement. Anywa, take the copy of the fornt %26amp; back to the bank and they will have to figure out what happened and credit your account.
Good Luck!
Reply:The ATM receipt ONLY shows what you told the ATM. It CAN'T prove you actually put a check for that amount in the ATM. If the check was not there when the ATM was balanced, you DID NOT make a deposit. It is also possible the check was accidentally credited to the wrong account. If that happened, the bank should resolve the problem in a few days. Unless you have a history of problems with your account, they SHOULD have credited your account while they are investigating.
This question is an example of why I will NEVER make a deposit at an ATM.

Has anyone had any complications with a CVS test?
My doctor did a blood test for down symdrom and it came back as having a chance of it. I am 36 and she said that because of my age it will come back this way, but it does not necessarily mean that there is a problem. A CVS or Amneo would be done to rule it out. I am completely scared and I want to do the CVS to get it over with and know now if something is wronge. There is a slighly higher chance of miscarring with CVS comparied to Amneo. Has anyone ever gone thru this?? What was your experience? Is the CVS painful??
Has anyone had any complications with a CVS test?
My Aunty had a very similar experience. From an ultrasound she was given a 1 in 66 chance that her baby would be Down's (should be 1 in 700 and something) This skin on the back of the baby's neck measured 3 millimeters when it should have been less than 1mm. She had the Amnio and everything turned out fine. I can't say whether the Amnio hurt or not.
Hope everything works out for you
Reply:My blood test during my second child came back like yours. We opted not to do further testing as we would continue the pregnancy either way. If you NEED to know now, I suppose an amneo is a better aka safer choice. I am not familar with a CVS test. Good luck!

How much do you get paid an hour as a cashier in Petsmart, Target, Sears, CVS, and Dillards in Orlando? Thanks
Not real sure about petsmart, target, sears and cvs, but I'm pretty sure that Dillard's is commission, so it depends on how much you sell per hour.
How much do you get paid an hour as a cashier in Petsmart, Target, Sears, CVS, and Dillards in Orlando? Thanks
I don't know about the others but as someone else said, Petsmart bases your starting rate on how much experience you've had, like if you've ever been a cashier before or how much school you've had and stuff like that. Good luck!

I live at 5518 N. Drexel Ave., Indianapolis.
Where can I find the CVS fllu clinic nearest me?
www.findaflushot.com
It tells where any flu shot clinics are in the area when you enter your zip code.
By the way, please don't post your address on the internet anymore. It's not safe to do so.

What is the difference between the fake nails we can buy at stores like CVS and acrylic nails?
The nails you buy from the stores like CVS are made of plastic with color, the nails you have done professionally use 2 ingredients,a polymer and monomer when the two are mixed together they harden and hold up very well to stress.( don't go to the asian shops to have your nails done, they use a product in their acrylic called methol metho crylate, it's basicly a dental bonding agent used on teeth it can cause great damage because it cannot be just soaked off it has to be literly FILLED OFF and will ruin your nail bed!!!!!

Acrylic lasts longer
Reply:I don't think there is a difference other then how it will look like in the end done by someone buying it off the shelf and a professional.

Is $15.65/hour for an Assistant Manager at CVS/Pharmacy good?
I was just hired as an Assistant Manager at a CVS/Pharmacy in California and I have no Management experience. I've only been a Supervisor once and that was at my most recent job. In that previous job I was making $10/hour...which was the highest paying job I've ever had. CVS/Pharmacy is going to pay me $42,000/year which they said breaks down to about $15.65/hour due to the 48 hour work-weeks. (Managers work four "10 hour" days and one "8 hour-overtime" day a week.) My question to all of you is....did I get screwed or is this fair pay? Considering that I'm in my early 20's and I have no Management experience...I would like to think that this is a great deal for me. But I can't help but wonder if I'm getting screwed...anyone got any feedback for me? Also, if any of you out there have worked at CVS/Pharmacy before or still do....how do you like it? Can you tell me what to expect? Is it gonna suck? I'm about to begin my training there and I'm curious. THANKS EVERYONE, I APPRECIATE IT!
Is $15.65/hour for an Assistant Manager at CVS/Pharmacy good?
I wouldn't look at it in terms of wonderful vs. terrible; that could set you up for disappointment. With any job, you have to give it a chance and see whether it's a good fit for you, whether it suits your own criteria- do you like working with the public, do you enjoy being in a leadership position? An important consideration is how well you get along with the people there- if you make a couple friends, that can go a long way towards making a job "worth it"- consider that you're spending the majority of your waking hours with these people!
I personally wouldn't want to work a 48 hour week, but you may find it's a wonderful way to save up some money- just so you have something that you're saving towards. Do I think $16 an hour is "worth it"? Money alone is never worth it. I've been my very happiest when I was dirt poor. The only reason I'm working a steady job is that there were specific things that I wanted that required more of an income.
There is one good thing about working long hours- you don't have any time left to go out and blow it all!

as long as you're happy with what you're doing. i'd think 15$/hour isn't a lot considering the cost of living in california.
Reply:If I were your hiring manager I would withdrawal my offer.
Reply:I'm not from your part of the country so I can't answer your salary question. But, I do work for CVS in the midwest. From what I see at my store, the assistant manager works many many more hours than what you were told. But, then again, it might have to do with the store manager. My Asst is lucky if she gets two days in a row off. And, since our store manager teaches training classes, she hardly gets a whole weekend off. I'm not too excited about CVS. I worked for OSCO before and have something to compare with. OSCO treated its employees a lot better than CVS. For instance, the employee discount with OSCO was 13% above cost, so I pretty much know what the cost was on store brand items. With CVS, you get a 30% discount on CVS brands. The allergy medicine that I previously bought that cost me 61 cents now costs me 4.99 (since there is a good possibility that they are made by the same manufacturer, it shows just how greedy CVS is - they have no loyalty to their employees). Another thing, when I worked on Sunday, there was a $1 per hour increase. That was taken away. If you are a part-time employee - previously you were paid for holidays (even if you didn't work them, you were paid). But not with CVS - you only get paid if you work on those days! They make a big deal about how well they treat their customers - but a big majority of the time, it's at the expense of the employee. The customer is ALWAYS right - even if they are completely in the wrong. Don't get me wrong - I like my job, I just don't like the way CVS treats their employees. If you are looking for a way to get into management, this would look good on your resume. But, if you are looking for a career with CVS - I would look elsewhere.

Can I get VIAGRA from the clinic at CVS Pharmacy?...?
Most of us young guys use Viagra too fool women into thinking were super in bed. The bad thing is that I don't have health insurance. Can CVS Pharmacy prescribe it through their minute clinic??
Can I get VIAGRA from the clinic at CVS Pharmacy?...?
I don't think you will get it that way. You will have to get a prescription from your doc and that is the best and safest way.
Walm Mart has got good prices on viagra.
You can also try to order ed meds online, the only problem with buying viagra online is that there are so many sh..ty places all over the net that you can easily get lost and get ripped in the end.
you must be very careful if you choose to order meds over the net. a good source for ed meds like viagra cialis levitra is menssexpills.com . It is an online community of viagra cialis and levitra users, the site also has got price comparison of cheapest and trusted online pharmacies.
Reply:Actually why you need Viagra, long term depending on it would be quite bad right?
May be you should start considering maintaining healthy lifestyle, start taking chinese herbal medicine to enhance performance rather than rely on chemical substance, that would also good for body.
Also can try Tongkat Ali, as shown on this Youtube:

Reply:I doubt it, I think you need a scrip from good ole Doc.

How does doing your pictures at cvs or walmart and sending them to family work?
I want to get my family to send me pictures they dont have an account at one of these places do you need a media card reader? to do it
How does doing your pictures at cvs or walmart and sending them to family work?
If your family member has the USB cable that came with their camera they should be able to connect the camera to their computer and transfer the images onto it. (no need to run to the store and have the images burnt onto a CD if it can be avoided right?)
I work for Walgreens so the rest of my instructions are for using our services.
Have the family member go to http://www.walgreens.com
Click on the photo tab at the top of the screen
Click on "Not Registered, Sign up!" on the right hand of the screen.
Once they have a user name, they just need to log on and they will be taken to the Photo Center Home Page. On the right hand side there will be a box called "Getting Started", click on "Upload Photos"
The next page will ask you to download a small file, you dont have to, but it makes uploading pictures much easier.
Once they have them uploaded to the site click on the folder and click "order prints", select the ones they want to send, and choose to send them by mail or to a store; if the are sending them to you, have them scroll down when it asks
this because there is an option to send them to another person (this is convenient because this way they show up at the store under your name and not theirs)
Pictures can be sent to most of our 5800 stores nationwide and picked up in about an hour..
If you have any questions, call Walgreens.com help at:
1-866-264-2910
Hope this helps; I am a Walgreens Photo Specialist
P.S. Prints are normally 19 cents ea. but if you order 100 or more the price drops to 15 cents for 4x6's
Reply:Simply take your camera or media card to any place that does it, CVS, Wal-Mart, Costco, Walgreen's, etc, and just have them put the pictures on a CD. That way, all you have to do it either make copies of the CD and mail them or email them from the CD to family members. It's easy and inexpensive.
Reply:ur family can try n c if they know sumone that have a account n they can help them...if not b4 they do anything with CVS or Wal-Mart they should ask...the best way 2 do it is if they can ask Wal-Mart or go 2 Walgreens n have them put the pics they want 2 send u on a CD...it's better n cheap...i do it all the time...Good Luck!
Reply:you can always send ur pics online and then cvs will do them for u from doin the online prints i think it just takes more time

Do you know of any links to pharmacies that have prescription coupons for their RETAIL stores (like CVS etc)?
I can't buy on-line prescriptions since my Blue Cross is only good at the local pharmacies, but I have co-payments of up to 50% so I need some savings!
Do you know of any links to pharmacies that have prescription coupons for their RETAIL stores (like CVS etc)?
CVS mails out $25 coupons (2) for new or transfered perscriptions. I got mine in the mail last week. Expires 6/7/08
Kmart puts theirs in the ads sometimes.
Rite Aid also in ads or printable.
Meijer or Kroger is in ads or mailings.
Hope you find one.
Reply:usually the company will have their coupons in their website (online shopper*) [*=meaning the little book with coupons online]

I'm a nurse and have no idea what you mean by a "CV", I've heard of CMEs, and if that is what you mean, simply google nursing CME's.
Decent makeup brands

Has ANYONE every worked for CVS ? How about WALGREENS ?
I NEED A JOB LIKE YESTERDAY - ive already worked for Walgreens, in my opinion they treat you like crap, the customers are great people but the store managers and exa's were horrible so i left. Now im considering CVS- even though i vowed never to go there (i hated it when it was still eckerd) ive only been inside eckerd/cvs like twice in my entire life- sumthin about it i just hate- Anyways If you have worked or do work for CVS can you tell me what the customer service clerk is expected to do ? how is the pharmacy ? (thats my major) how much do they start ? i live in FL and i herd 8 bucks - i know i can go to the website, but employers always tell you a bunch of Bull on the website and then you get there and U want to tell everyone off. THANX for your EXPERIENCED answers ♥
Has ANYONE every worked for CVS ? How about WALGREENS ?
I worked at CVS in Texas. But I didn't work in the pharmacy section. Basically, CVS is all about customers. But then again, it's not "Customer is always right." You just have to be there to help customers. Just help them with whatever questions they have or if they're looking for something. Whatever crap. I love my customers and I always appreciate them. My coworkers are another story. I hated that place. I stayed there for 4 weeks and had to get the hell out of there. It's such a lonely job and the managers and supervisers are crap. They act busy running all around and never help you at the front (You'll be the only one at front). But they never really do any work either. I was scolded and told that I was doing bad job when I was really trying my hardest at helping people and keeping busy cleaning and organzing when it wasn't busy. I caught my superviser just sitting at the pharmacy section chit chatting away though, which was totally unfair, since that was the aho that had told me I wasn't taking my job seriously.
The personalities of the workers...I don't know, they hardly smile, especially the pharmacy people. I don't know...maybe just from a hard day at work, but they always have to pass by the front counter when walking out, and they always have a pissed off face.
They have cameras all over...it's to watch the customers, but mainly to watch the workers too. They spy on your every move. Their office is a spying room. Watching everything you do. They say CVS is like family, but BS, family don't look at eachother like their thieves. They check all your pockets and bag if you stole anything, every time you leave from work. If you are snacking on something or have a drink, you must leave it in sight of the camera, so the camera can capture it. If you have photos that you develope, you have to put it in the office, away from yourself because "you might steal it." You can't ring up family. You can't ring up friends. You can't ring up yourself. Which all makes sense, but just wanted to put it out there.
You can't touch the magazines at all unless you're organizing it, or else it's stealing and you will be fired. Since you're working at the front counter by yourself, you're also responsible for the shelves at the front. So you have to orgainize all of it and keep watch at the register. So if you're busy and you still have your shelves to keep keep, good luck. It has to be done by YOU before you are able to leave from work. The superviser and the manager's wayyy "too busy" to help you. They're so busy because they always have to take a break outside to smoke and eat. They are also doing this "Care card" or whatever where they kill millions and billions of trees because they're printing out all this BS coupons and crap that the customers hardly use. They use 1/5 of the coupons that prints out. Waste of paper. Who would shop there? It's so freaking expensive for everything. I feel so bad for those who spend over $50 there (that's not prescriptions).
I'm someone who works hard everywhere I go and all my coworkers enjoy working with me because I get the job done and I help everyone around. I only have to quit my previous jobs (4 jobs) because I had to transfer schools. So this is the first job that I had to quit because I hated the people and because they didn't appreciate me at all.
I remember the first week I was there, the superviser was running behind on all his work (because he was soooooooo busy), so I was being totally nice and stayed over an hour to help him finish his work too...HIS WORK. That idiot never appreciate it and had the nerve to tell me that I don't take my job seriously?
I guess it's just THAT store, but then again, THAT store was considered one of the best. What crap. All my customers always complain about how bad the supervisers and managers are, that they're so rude...which they are! :) The customers love me. Hahaha My last day there, my mom asked if I had to return the uniform shirts, I told her I was going to go home and burn the shirts. :p
I hated it there. :) And I was so proud to walk out of there my last day.
Reply:tru, that place sucks, the people working there are the biggest lowlifes, they really do hassle you with thge coupons. dont work there! Report It
Reply:I worked at Wags and our store manager and EXA were great. The manager was a bit of a cheapsake, and you would sometimes have to go to the pharmacy supervisor to get certain items, but he was always very helpful. In retail, it really depends on the people and store. Since I'm a pharm intern, I'm always treated nicely. You are not considered to be a pharm intern until you have started pharmacy school in IL. Once you start, a P-1 gets paid about $14.50 an hour. However, if you are not, certified techs start at $11 per hour and uncertified techs start at $10 per hour.
Reply:i actually work for walgreens, and honestly people are people some are nice and some are mean, they are everywhere you go and you dont know what you are gonna get. the store i work at has an amazing store manager and i love the EXA they are both super nice and everything. i also live in florida and i have a bigger problem with the customers since most and senior citizens they sure do get diffensive (sp?) over like 12 cents but thats just how some places are. you cant hate a company because of the people because they dont represent every store out there.

I passed my home marijuana test i boughtt from Cvs...will i pass thre real thing?
I bought a home test from cvs 2 days ago and tested negative for marijuana. Will i pass the real thing ? i havent smoked since oct 8th and i only smoke like twice a month not even. I am quiting after this though. But i'm just wondering if i'll pass the actually thing ? I have to take it in a few days.
I passed my home marijuana test i boughtt from Cvs...will i pass thre real thing?
Jobs are more important getting high! If this is why you are being tested for the real thing I am proud of you for making the decision to quit! I have never had this problem but I am pretty sure if you passed the store bought test you will pass their test.
Reply:I think your decision to quit, to say the least, is wise.
Reply:It depends on what kind they give you if its a urine test it can take up to a few months, a blood test can go back five months, a hair test can go back years.
I have a good solution for urine tests, Thar is this drink u can get at any head shop that will clean u it cost about $25.
But as a Marijuana activist i would refuse any and all drug tests.
Reply:Good old delta9-tetrahydracannibinol (THC) is usually stored in your body's cells and fatty tissue for around 3 months.
Since you are not a regular smoker though, if they query your test, tell them you were in a room / vehicle where others were smoking.
Reply:Just don't eat any thing with poppy seeds in it. They can make you flunk the test.
Reply:chances are that you will pass the "real" one. It just depends on how many nanograms the cvs test is set for and how many the lab is set for. Most of them are not very precise... it's not like you are testing for the F/B/I/ or anything...
I do have a question for you.....why smoke if you know you need a job. It doesn't make any sense to me.
They are drinks you can drink that are supposed to "cover" the drug... but since you already drug tested yourself... I would think you will be fine.
Reply:How about not smoking it at all so you can pass the "real thing"?
Reply:you should
but some use very sensitive tests!!!!
your smart... just quit!
