Has anyone ever had a CVS (chronic vilius sampling) or an amononcinties?

I had a CVS Test yesterday and am now experiencing leaking of warm fluid, i don't know if this is normal?

Has anyone ever miscarried from this procedure?

Call your MD or the OB unit in your hospital. I never had the procedure but work in healthcare and don't believe leaking fluid is normal. Your situation needs to be evaluated by a doc or nurse who works in Labor and Delivery.
Reply:Miscarriage is a risk associated with this procedure (I hope they told you that before you went through it!) So, I would definitely call the doctor. I hope that's not what you are experiencing! Good luck.
Reply:I had a amnio with my second child at around 5 months pregnant. A couple hours after I left the hospital I had a gush of fluid leaking all over. I went to the emergency room. I then slowly continued to leak. They did an ultrasound to make sure my baby was ok. They said my fluid was low and if I continued to leak. I would most likely miscarry. I had to be on bed rest a couple months and go in for weekly ultrasounds until everything was better. I was lucky my baby was ok. I will never get a amnio ever again.
Reply:I've had both done, different pregnancies, and I had leaking after the amnio, spotting after the CVS. My Dr told me the fluid leaking was a pocket of water, which apparently happens sometimes after amnio. Go see your OB regardless. They will probably send you for an ultrasound. I've never heard of fluid leaking after CVS.
Reply:I've had amnio 3 times... my last preg at the beginning to check for abnormalities, and then at the end of that pregnancy to determine her lung development so I could be induced early. I've also had it done once in this pregnancy. Too much fluid leakage is not normal. I was told that there may be up to one ounce of fluid leakage the day of the test, so to rest and keep feet up for the day. Some pulling and tugging sensations concerned me, so I took an extra day off work and just stayed in bed. Please get this checked ASAP, it is possible to miscarry from this type of invasive procedure. Are you having contraction like pains or bleeding???
