Do the mineral foundations you buy at the store (cvs, target...) work as well as bare minerals?
NO!! I used them before bare minerals and it made my face look orange and would not cover my skin evenly. It looked so bad. Bare minerals lasts a long time and is really good for coverage. I have problem skin and when I wear it my skins never looked better! And it looks so light! It's definitely worth the money and the get started kit lasts me around 3-4 months!
Reply:I am a firm believer in Bare Minerals but when I have been out of a product I have used the Almay mineral make up in a pinch. I do not think that it is as good as Bare Minerals and there is no product as good as Mineral Veil.





I have read that some women have been unhappy with mineral make up and I have to say in it's defense that I have never met anyone who was unhappy with Bare Escentuals once they have gotten the hang of using it and as you know it takes a little practice to get good at putting it on.





I have red hair and very pale skin with lots (and I mean LOTS) of freckles. By using small amounts with the concealer brush over the darkest freckles followed by 2 light layers of the foundation rather than trying to get all the coverage in 1 heavy layer, I come out with a very natural but effective coverage. The first time I wore Bare Minerals to work, a Mary Kay lady asked me if I was in love because I had a glow about me. I was sold on it.

Reply:I Personally dont think mineral make up is all its cracked up to be...ive tried it twice i actually have bare minerals...and its not as good as people make it out to be...i could be doing it wrong i did only try it twice...but i doubt it...i dont think it has good coverage at all...maybe for someone who already has flawless skin its perfect...but then why would you need it?...LOL i have pretty good skin...it used to be flawless but i have alot of stress in my life right now and i get a few small pimples here and there and it doesnt even cover those...so i cant imagine it doing anything for someone who actually has real skin probs...i actually like cover girl the best...lol

Reply:well, bare minerals isn't even that great in the first place so..... yeah, i'd say so.
Reply:NO, but I know one that does. I, originally, was a Bare Minerals user, but could never get quite the right color I started using Bella Rose by Serious Skin Care sold on HSN. It works great for me and the value is much better as you get twice the product, which saves money. I have used just about every single mineral foundation on the market, but I'm sold on Bella Rose.
